Cabernet Franc is the namesake and family member of Cabernet Sauvignon. Though this varietal is usually blended with Cabernet Sauvignon or in a Bordeaux blend, South Africa’s warm climate allows for this own to stand on its own just as well. The flavor profile of this wine is raspberries and green peppers, with a tobacco after taste. It is lighter in color than the Cabernet Sauvignon. We absolutely love this varietal because it is so versatile to pair with foods. From a starter of fish to a hearty main of Indian Curry. The reason is mainly the natural acidity of this wine which is similar to Pinot Noir.
